Chancel Choir

The premier choir of the church (adult singers and older youth) prepares music for the regular 11:00 a.m. worship service each Sunday. This includes anthems, hymns, and praise and worship choruses. Seasonal programs and special fellowship activities are scheduled throughout the year, including a spring banquet and a fall retreat at the WV State Baptist Conference Center in Ripley.
Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 7:45 – 9:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

Children’s Choir

Children in grades 1-5 meet each week from September through May for singing and music activities. Special seasonal presentations are also prepared during the year. In the summer, singing opportunities are offered through Vacation Bible School and a Music/ Creative Arts Camp Week held at the church.
Rehearsals are in the music room on Wednesdays for:

Pre-K/ Kindergarten “Joyster Choir” at 6:00 -6:30 pm
Elementary “Joyful Voices Choir” at 6:30 – 7:30 pm

Drama Group

This is a performing group of adults and youth who prepare skits and other dramatic presentations for worship services and special occasions. The rehearsal schedule varies.

Vocalists / Instrumentalists / Special Ensembles

Opportunities are provided for individuals to present special music in worship services through solos, duets, and other ensembles. “Gospel Sings” and special theme nights are also offered during the year. In addition, the church hosts touring Christian performing artists and groups from time to time.

Hand Bells

Opportunities to play hand bells are offered at various times during the year, often in conjunction with music presented by the Chancel Choir. Rehearsal times vary.
